Tuamotu Archipelago

Features: Lying approximately 300 miles northeast of the island of Tahiti, the Tuamotu Archipelago is the world's largest collection of coral atolls. Rangiroa is the largest of these atolls with its immense 42 mile long, 16 mile wide turquoise lagoon. Rangiroa and Manihi offer adventurers a chance to live amid wild, untamed scenery removed from civilization. A diving and snorkeling paradise, this massive natural aquarium harbors an unsurpassed variety of marine life.

The Manihi Pearl Beach Resort - Manihi
This is one of nature's last remaining hideaways with a population of only 450. The Manihi Pearl Beach Resort has 19 overwater and 22 beach bungalows set on a perfect beach which fronts a shallow lagoon. The lagoon boasts an amazing collection of colorful fish as well as the world famous black pearl farms. The resort's outdoor bathroom in an atrium garden setting is a unique site.

Kia Ora Village -Rangiroa
This outstanding resort features 60 air conditioned garden, beachfront and overwater bungalows spread along a beautiful white sand beach facing the lagoon side of the island. Beach bungalows have private jacuzzis and the overwater bungalows have glass coffee tables where the lagoon becomes your private aquarium. Optional activities include tennis, wind surfing, glass bottom boat excursions, snorkeling and a ""blue lagoon"" picnic.

Kia Ora Sauvage - Rangiroa
This Robinson Crusoe hideaway invites a maximum of 10 guests to enjoy a simpler way of life. An hour's boat ride from the Kia Ora village, the Sauvage is a remote and deserted island resort with no telephones or electricity. All meals are prepared for you and lanterns are brought to your room each evening.

Maitai Dream - Fakarava
This charming 30 unit hotel was just opened in September of 2002. Located on a white sandy beach of a pristine lagoon that teems with tropical fish - rooms have ceilings fans, as well as minibar, tv and video. Activities include; snorkelling, canoing and outrigger canoing.

Tikehau Pearl Beach Resort
Tikehau's remote beauty can easily be enjoyed at this secluded resort. Located on palm fringed white sandy beaches, the Tikehau Pearl Beach Resort offers 14 Beach Bungalows and 16 Over Water Bungalows. All of the spacious Polynesian styled bungalows are equipped with a fan, mini bar, coffee / tea making facilities, direct dial phone, safe, television and private verandah. The Over Water Bungalows include a glass section of the floor from which to enjoy the spectacular underwater life of the lagoon.
