Few destinations offer the escape that Fiji can. It is an idyllic setting, uncrowded and unspoiled, with beautiful luxury resorts, perfect palm-lined white sand beaches, and world class diving and snorkeling. The Fijian people are warm and welcoming. With lush rain forests, dramatic waterfalls, and exotic bird life - this is nature at its best.

The island nation of Fiji consists of 304 individual islands. The islands in the south of Fiji tend to be more arid, and are known for their spectacular beaches and predominantly hard-coral snorkeling and diving. The northern islands are more lush and volcanic in origin, with rainforests, waterfalls, and exotic birds.

Diving and snorkeling
The underwater world of Fiji is incredible - some of the finest soft-coral gardens on the planet can be seen here. There are great profusions of colorful tropical fish, as well as magnificient opportunities to see rays, sharks, and turtles. Diving in the northern islands is generally done on massive walls of soft-corals in strong currents. In the south, the diving tends to be more aquarium-like, with a great amount of colorful tropical fish and hard-corals. Most resorts are fully equipped for diving. There are a number of live-aboard dive boats as well.
