The Solomon Islands is an Island country 1000 miles Northeast of Australia. Originally thought to be settled by the people from New Guinea, few Europeans made their way to this archipelago over the course of history. The ancient customs are widely practiced in the many small villages, unchanged through generations because of the islands relative isolation. The Solomon Islands are rugged volcanic islands, with lush tropical rainforest, with atolls on the outer islands. Island hopper flights fly at about 6500 feet, for a dramatic arrival. The walls, reefs and pinnacles of the Solomon's support a staggering variety of sea life, schools of anenome fish, angel fish, parrot fish and butterfly fish, and just a short distance away, you will find barracuda and many pelagics.
